The Annual Meeting is our largest gathering of the year.
This year the event spolights our volunteers.

ACTIVITIES: You will enjoy seminars, a ride on the Coal Miner's train, a swap meet/flea market, kid rides, a silent auction, the largest model train layout in Ohio, and other events. At the Annual Meeting & Banquet, we will present recipients with our annual awards.

EVERYONE
IS INVITED:
Members of all ORTA member organizations, anyone interested in trains, wanting train memorabilia or wanting to ride a train, and those who want to know more about the history of trains and the eastern Ohio region.

WHERE:
Byesville, Ohio, a few miles south of Cambridge, with some activities in Cambridge.

WHEN: Saturday, April 10, 2010 with additional activities on Friday evening, April 9,2010 and on Sunday, April 11, 2010.

ADMISSION:   Included in the $59 registration fee: Welcome & Hospitality, Saturday morning refreshments, train ride and lunch, Banquet and Saturday hospitality.


Attendance at the conference includes admission to conference workshops, train ride and lunch aboard the train, volunteer social hour and Saturday evening reception, banquet and hospitality. Registration is required for meals and workshops

Volunteer Welcome & Hospitality Suite: Join us at ORTA's hospitality suite at the Baymount Inn & Swites, Cambridge. .  Network and have fun with your friends in the ORTA hospitality room, sponsored by Jerry Jacobson, Age of Steam.

Saturday April 10th:
7:00 AM- 8:30 AM  Breakfast is on your own.
8:30 AM - 9:30 AM  Conference Registration -- Meet at the Byesville Fire Station Community Building.
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Swap Meet and Flea Market Free and Open to the public Byesville Fire Station Community Building

9:00 AM - 10:30 AM  Workshop: Recruiting & Rewarding Volunteers Sharon Strouse, OSU Extension. Workshop is at the Byesville Fire Station Community Building
10:30 - 10:45 AM Break
10:45 AM - 12:15 AM  Workshop: Working With Our Guests -- . A panel discussion about Rail Hospitality and Safety. Ken Baldwin, ORTA president, moderator. Workshop is at the Byesville Fire Station Community Building
12:30 PM - 2:30 PM Coal Miner’s train ride -- All-aboard for a trip back in time to the days when coal mining was king in Guernsey County. Lunch aboard the train. Thanks to everyone at the Byesville Scenic Railroad
2:30 PM - 5:30 PM  Free time -- Browse the flea market, kids will love the rides, and visit Ohio’s largest model train layout
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM  Volunteer Reception & Silent Auction -- Bring your checkbook because you will want some of the great items. Cash bar. (Sponsored by Bob McCarthy, McRAIL) Cambridge Country Club
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Banquet, Election, Awards Dave Adair, Byesville Scenic Railroad, will talk about how volunteers are making an economic success story for this small Ohio community. Volunteers are rewarded for their effort. Election of trustees. awards ceremonies, and a raffle.
9:00 PM Adjournment --
9:00PM - 11 PM After the meeting return back to our Hospitality Suite (Cambridge) for rest and relaxation among friends and associates.
